So it's the first day of my journey to making myself a better person in the three areas I mentioned here. According Plasma Biological Services, I weigh 231lbs today. I have no reason to dispute this.
I had a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios for breakfast and a lunch that was some sort of chicken, pasta, carrots, broccoli, and a ranch seasoning. It looked healthy. It tasted healthy. Melissa said it was healthy. I'll assume it was healthy. I also had a hand full of Wheat Thins. My beverages have been water and OJ. You can count on some chocolate milk being thrown in there before the day ends.
I can't say I've exercised my brain a whole lot. I watched Hell Boy and two episodes of HOUSE M.D. while I was plugged into the machine. I plan to spend some quality time with Tom Welling in Smallville later today. We all have our stumbling blocks. Don't judge me.
I just finished reading Philippians 2:1-18. Melissa has been reading that over and over again and asked that do so with her. This has, unfortunately, been my first time through. She's been doing this for two weeks or so. I haven't lied about it to. She just never asked.
The part that sticks out to me is the part where Paul tells the Philippian Church to stop complaining. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to complain. For proof of this, see my facebook page or my other blog posts. So, I will take those words to heart and attempt to become less of a complainer. You can help contribute to this by praying that I am successful along with these other goals.
I plan to post a photo of myself every so often (ideally everyday) along with these posts on a separate blog. I haven't walked the steps of actually making that a possibility. I find myself with free time at work on the weekends. That will probably be when all of this happens. Until then, check back with me tomorrow right here.
This is Jared (with some silly profile I made back when I tried to be creative before I gave up on that stuff).
ReplyDeleteWith no disrespect intended, I do dispute that you weigh 131 pounds.
Also, I will be praying for you, at least each time you post here.
Double also, don't just try to complain less, but look at the example of Christ in the Gospels and how he responds in different situations and allow His character and Word to change the way you look at your life. Much of our complaining comes from eyes that do not see the our lives way God sees them.
Lastly, keep it up brother, and thanks for considering me as an encouragement to you!
Something else I need to get better about is proof reading. I corrected the weight. Minor typo that lead to a 100lb reduction in my weight. If only it were that easy. And this is the day one post. I'm on sixty something (not posts, just days since I started). Make sure you get caught up.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jared.
